Sensitive data Discovery

Sensitive data is the classified information that must be protected and is inaccessible to outside parties unless specifically granted permission. The data can be in physical or electronic form, but either way, sensitive data is regarded as private information or data. An ethical or legal reason may warrant the need to have tougher restrictions on people who can access personal or an organization sensitive data, especially when it pertains to individual privacy and property rights.

Rules

Discovery rules represent a user-defined set of parameters that the discovery process follows to find specific types of data in specific sources. This process requires an imported environment to function, and also preferred BizDataX discoverers installed which happens automatically when installing the BizDataX Portal.

Findings

Discovery findings represent sensitive data candidates discovered using discovery rules which can be then checked and manually marked as sensitive or not sensitive data. This process requires an executed discovery to have data to check and mark.

Execution history

All previous discovery executions can be viewed on this screen. It contains a table with name of user who made changes, process status and Date and time process started and ended.
