Data masking

Data masking is a method of creating a structurally similar but inauthentic version of an organization's data that can be used for purposes such as software testing and user training.

In BizDataX Portal, Data masking consists of Plans and Packages. A BizDataX package represents a logical container that contains all registered packages and the history of their executions. The package should be created and published in Portal, or registered and published from BizDataX Designer, and then can be executed with default or custom parameters.

The Data masking can be managed trough Menu options:

Plans

A Data masking plan is a container for one specific data masking process. It contains all information needed for creating a package. The ending result is a published Plan, i.e. created Package that can then be executed.

Publish history

All previous Publish plans can be viewed on Plan publish history overview list. It contains a table with the Plan name, name of the user who made changes, process status and Date and time the process started and ended.

Packages

All packages currently registered in the project can be viewed on the packages list, the landing page of the packages' functionality. It contains a table detailing every registered package in the project.

Execution history

All previous package executions can be viewed on the Package execution history overview list. It contains a table with the name of the user who made changes, the process status, Date and Time the process started and ended.
